Preservation

Inspired by Raymond Carver’s short story “Preservation,” this short film is set entirely within the walls of a home and tells the story of a marriage on the brink. After the husband loses his job, he sinks into depression and makes the couch his new home—lying there all day, every day. His wife, desperate, tries to help him. As the tension between them grows, the situation reaches a breaking point when the refrigerator breaks down.
